Larch Hill - National Campsite
Larch Hill is the National Campsite of C.B.S.I. comprising of 80 acres and is surrounded by the natural amenities that will enhance your Scout activities. There is a toilet and shower block, religious facilities, tuck shop, wet weather shelter, campfire circle and ample car parking is provided. A full time warden and voluntary service team (at weekends) are close at hand to help with your enquiries.
The Main House in open all year round and has accommodation and catering facilities for up to 60 people and is ideal for a Cub Pack Holiday, training courses and conferences. Alpha Lodge is a small self-contained unit, providing sleeping and catering facilities. Ideal for small groups of up to 15 people e.g.Venture Scouts.
Set in the foothills of the Dublin Mountains and close to the start of the Wicklow Way, Larch Hill is the ideal base for hiking and hill walking.
With notice (3 weeks), the following activities are available on site:
Rock Climbing, Orienteering, Archery, Lazer tag, Pioneering, Nature Trails, Treasure Hunts, Beaver and Cub Challenges.
Larch Hill is 5km from the Stena Sealink ferry port in Dun Laoghaire and 7km from Irish Ferry port in Dublin. Dublin Airport is 10 km. Dublin Bus provide a regular service to within 0.5km of the site,
