Our Community
Rathfarnham Theatre Group
We are a community based Group, made up largely of people living in the Rathfarnham area who are interested in all aspects of drama. As well as staging full-length productions, we provide opportunities for our members to learn about all aspects of drama via weekly workshops held in St. Mary's Boys' National School, Grange Road.
We are proud to present our next productoin "The Beauty Queen of Leenane" By Martin McDonagh Set in the mountains of Connemara, County Galway, "The Beauty Queen of Leenane" tells the darkly comic tale of Maureen Folan, a plain and lonely woman in her early forties, and Mag her manipulative ageing mother whose interference in Maureen's first and potentially last loving relationship sets in motion a train of events that is as gothically funny as it is horrific.
Date:Wednesday 15th to Saturday 18th January 2003 - Starts promptly 8.00pm
Venue: The Little Theatre in the Hills (Behind the Cuckoo's Nest Pub) Tallaght, Dublin 24
Tickets: priced at €10, available by calling 087 2741451
As you can imagine, staging a play such as "The Beauty Queen of Leenane" involves quite an outlay of expenditure, which one cannot guarantee will be recouped by receipts at the door. For that reason, for our Spring production each year we produce a programme with advertisements, the cost of which are per full page (A5), per half page and per quarter page.
If you would like to advertise call Pat Hanratty on the number shown below or contact Ursula Kilfoyle at 4931948.
