Thrifty Car Rental
 Malone Car Rental was set up in 1995 by Joe Malone (Former Director General of Bord Failte) and Cathal Mullen (Former Chief Executive of Aer Lingus) as a specialist tourist company.
In 1998 the Keary group and Colm Menton invested in the company, with Colm Menton becoming Chief Executive. The Keary Group is one of the largest Toyota dealers in the country with dealerships at Cork, Mallow and Middleton.
The company has grown substantially in the last three years and now boasts a peak car fleet of 1,200 units. The business base has been expanded to include the corporate sector and van rental. The company has offices in Dublin City and Airport, Cork City and Airport and Shannon Airport.
Malone Thrifty Car Rental has extensive experience in dealing with foreign markets. Our impressive customer base includes tour operators and travel agents from Europe, North America and Australia.
In February 2002, Malone Car Rental took over the Thrifty franchise in the Republic of Ireland. This has provided a world-wide platform for Malone Car Rental and is an indication of our dedication to providing superior quality and customer service.
